1.1 Separate light controller

The separate light controller uses a photosensitive probe, and automatically opens the street lamp when the day becomes dark and the light is weak; When the east is exposed in the morning, the street lamp is automatically turned off to achieve automatic control. The early light-controlled switches used discrete semiconductor components, the circuit was complex, and the failure rate was high; With the development of semiconductor technology, the emergence of time-based integrated circuits, which simplify the optical switch circuit, the photosensitive probe is the key component of the optical switch.

1.2 Clock Controller

The controller should set the switching time in advance to make the street light on time and turn off the light on time, so as to achieve the purpose of automatic control and electricity saving. Its advantage is that the pre-set switch is interfered with by external light, in addition to its own fault, will not produce false action, the disadvantage is that it can not automatically change the switch time according to seasonal changes and special weather conditions, and it is necessary to set someone to adjust the switch time, such as: winter and spring dark earlier, dawn later; In summer and autumn, dawn is early and darkness is late; After midnight, there are fewer vehicles and pedestrians on the road, and the number of lights should be appropriately reduced, and they should be lit before dawn to facilitate traffic safety and electricity saving. The timing switch in the clock controller is divided into two types: mechanical clock type and electronic clock type: the former is mainly quartz clock, travel time is accurate, but because the plastic gear used in the movement will be deformed at high temperature, resulting in inaccurate travel time and even shutdown; The latter’s timing switch is commonly used LR6818, LM8650 and other integrated blocks as the center of the electronic clock circuit, in recent years, there is also a kind of electronic clock circuit board and LED liquid crystal display integrated block, can be set up six groups of switching points, and has a week function, many component manufacturers compete to produce this product, is now mostly used in the street lamp controller.

1.3 Warp and weft controller

The warp and weft controller adopts single-chip microcomputer technology to simulate the sunshine law, and can automatically turn on the light when it is dark and automatically turn off the light in the morning. It adopts the advantages of the light-controlled switch to control the time, overcomes the disadvantages of the light-controlled switch subject to external interference, absorbs the advantages of the clock controller time accuracy, and avoids the shortcomings of the timing switch that does not automatically change the switching time. At present, many large and medium- sized city street lights mostly use this control method, the disadvantage is that the price is higher.
